Many people have wondered the questions:
“What am I doing with my life?”
“Will I succeed, and what if I fail?”
“What is the point of all this?”
“Is this all there is to life?”
And these questions are scary when they come up. They are difficult to deal with, and no one has the answers, because the future is unknown.
This post, in a way, is a way for me to deal with these emotions myself. I am currently back in school, trying to gain more skills. What is stressful is knowing that something that you want right now may not be what you want in the future. It’s stressful to invest money into something that you feel you may end up regretting or feeling trapped by in the future.
My advice to myself: don’t let those fears stop you and paralyze you. Remember that everything that has happened to you in your life has taught you a valuable lesson and that every opportunity opens up new doors. Don’t stop moving and creating out of the fear of judgment or rejection. Not every opportunity is for everyone, and that is ok. The things that are right for you will appear in your life.
Remember, to not let other people dictate the direction of your life, for you cannot be put into a place you refuse to be in. Know that some hardheadedness and determination are required to steer your boat in this ocean of life. Remember that you must keep fighting to seize the day, because this is your day, and this is your life. Do not go gently into that goodnight.
Stay grounded to yourself, and don’t let other people make you feel bad about yourself. The reality is that people may not understand you, but have faith in yourself. I believe in you in the same way I believe in myself, and this is a love letter at the end of the day, a love letter to life.
